The Space

This is a two- room unit for not more than 4 people. The rooms are small but come with similar amenities including 32 inch LCD TV, an attached bathroom with toiletries, shower panel and heated bathroom. The two rooms share a small living room.

The rooms are roughly 110 square feet. The rooms are wood panelled to give them a log-cabin look.

Pets are not allowed in this room please.

This unit should be booked by non-smokers only as there isn’t any outside space ( e.g. balcony) for them to do so. There are a flight of three stone steps to this unit, so should be booked only if walking on stairs is not a problem.

Food: Pahari / Vegan Meals and More

There is an in-house menu should you want to order breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Pahari Meals: We offer Pahari meals on special order. Kindly give advance notice to the cook for any Pahari meal.

House Manual

Kindly do not tinker with the knobs in the bathrooms or with any electricals. Please take the assistance of the caretaker should you require anything.
Shimla has a rhesus monkey problem. Kindly do not feed or engage them in any way. They can be aggressive and will enter the house if the windows or doors are left ajar. Kindly keep them shut at all times.
Kindly adhere to our NO NOISE policy at all times.

House Rules

We have a strict NO NOISE policy. No noise should reach outdoors please. For this reason kindly keep the doors and windows firmly shut at all times. This will also keep the nosy Rhesus monkeys and insects at bay.

This is a non smoking unit please.

We would be grateful if guests adhere to the Check Out time (11 a.m.), especially when we have a reservation that day. Please remember breakfast will be served till 10 a.m. only. We would however be happy to offer a late checkout wherever possible. Kindly check with the caretaker about late checkouts.

We would expect our guests to switch off all electricals, especially radiator heaters, when not in the room.

No outside guests or visitors allowed please.

Remember you are coming to a Green-zone. Hope you will appreciate that for your safety and ours, we have to follow the Covid-19 guidelines strictly.

Cancellations

Cancel up to 7 days before check in and get a 50% refund (applicable only if full payment is made)

Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

Partial payments are refundable only if cancellation is done one month before the check in date.

How to get here

One can take the Shatabdi Train to Kalka from New Delhi. Then a connecting Toy-Train from Kalka to Shimla. Or one can do the Kalka-Shimla journey in a cab (Ola works too). Volvo bus service from New Delhi is also another good option. (Please check Himachal Bhavan for timings ph: 0172 263 8285.

New low cost New Delhi -Shimla flights were introduced in 2017. Kindly check with your travel agent for details.

When you enter Shimla take the road via Chotta Shimla. This road meanders through a forest and goes by St. Bedes College from where the house is about 800 meters away. Its on the Engine Ghar road in Sanjauli.

The house is over 2 kms from The Mall (via Snowdon Hospital). A cab will take about 5 minutes to The Mall.

3400 per room for 2 adults .( Accommodation only)
